initng-conf-gtk

Requirements

For compiling initng-conf-gtk you need a current Initng installation. In addition you need libglade-2.0 and libgtk-2.0 devel packages.

Installation from rpm

Just download the appropriate rpm from

http://download.initng.org/initng-gui/initng-conf-gtk/

and install it using the usual "rpm -Uvh" command.

Compilation

To compile initng-conf-gtk yourself, first get the sources from here:

http://download.initng.org/initng-gui/initng-conf-gtk/

and then run the usual

./autogen.sh && make && make install

Usage

run "initng-conf-gtk" as root or simply click the "InitNG Configuration" item in the menu.
With initng-conf-gtk you can easily start, stop and restart services and daemons.
A nice feature is that all service states are updated in realtime.
It also features an easy to use runlevel editor where you can create new runlevels, modify existing ones and the possibility to edit services and daemons.
No changes are saved until you click the "Save" button, so feel free to experiment ;-)
